HONORING “PIP”
Purpose Driven Sports Basketball (PDSBBALL) will honor our fallen brother with the starting a league award in his name.
The Antron Pippen Defensive Player Award will be given to the best defensive player of the regular season. The winner is selected by the owner and partners by votes. If needed, a referee that has officiated enough games in the season at hand to make an informed decision, will vote.
Antron, the son of Basketball Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen and once a top college prospect, died at the age of 33 on Sunday, April 18, 2021.
“I’m heartbroken to share that yesterday, I said goodbye to my firstborn son Antron,” Scottie Pippen tweeted.
He was a determined warrior next to you on the court as a teammate, a relentless competitor against you as an opponent, but above all, he was always a brother in life. He will be missed but not forgotten.

Antron “Pip” was always a pleasure to be around and he was always very respected as well as respectful. It was our honor to do this for such a great competitor but above all, a great friend.
